🏓 Not sure which blade is right for you?

Which blade grade do I need?

If you're an intermediate player (club level, developing your technique):
Start with a Standard Blade – Commercial Grade. These are high-quality, officially branded blades from top manufacturers like DHS, Butterfly, and Victas. They offer excellent performance and will serve you well as you refine your strokes, build consistency, and find your playing style.

If you're an advanced player (competing in tournaments, consistent technique):
Step up to our Official National – Provincial Grade blades. These are produced for provincial team players with hand-selected wood and more careful manufacturing. You'll notice better feel, improved control, and a wider dynamic range compared to commercial versions.

If you're a high-level competitor or passionate enthusiast:
Our Pros Personal Version – Premium Blades are the pinnacle. Double-code Butterfly editions, DHS W968 national and player versions — these are the exact blades built for world champions. Hand-picked materials, tighter tolerances, and a playing experience that commercial blades simply cannot match.

DHS or Butterfly?

Choose DHS if you play a Chinese-style game:
Looping with heavy spin, strong forehand focus, close-to-mid distance play. DHS blades (especially the W968 family) are designed for maximum spin potential and deep ball hold with tacky Chinese rubbers like Hurricane 3.

Choose Butterfly if you prefer a European/Japanese style:
Two-wing attack, speed-oriented, counter-topspin rallies. Butterfly ALC and ZLC blades pair perfectly with Tenergy and Dignics rubbers for a balanced blend of speed, spin, and consistency.

Not sure? Contact us — we'll recommend the right blade based on your level, playing style, and rubber preferences.

What does 'Double Code' and 'W968' mean?

Butterfly Double Code: A blade with two serial codes confirming it was produced in Butterfly's professional workshop with hand-selected wood and stricter quality control. Same model as the commercial version, but premium-grade materials and manufacturing.

DHS W968: The professional designation for Ma Long's Hurricane Long 5. There are multiple tiers:

  • Commercial HL5 → Mass-produced retail version
  • Provincial (Alphabet code) → For provincial team players, better wood selection
  • National Official (W968 + numbers) → Hand-selected materials, the "real" W968
  • Player Version → Custom-built for specific national team athletes
